Future smart speakers won’t just know what you want — they’ll do your shopping for you

Future smart speakers won’t just know what you want — they’ll do your shopping for you.

January 11, 2019

So as I read Tasnims blog about the amazon-go-cashier-free-store, I decided to talk about something related to Amazon like Alexa.

‘I’ve heard of things that could do what you want only connected to your phone System but I never knew that one day there will be a think that can shop for you”-Opinion

Marketing professor Niraj Dawar says ”we will become more loyal to our AI service than our favorite brands”

As consumers around the globe progressively swing to smart speakers for their shopping needs, organizations are searching for new roads to move you products.

It would have more qualities then Alexa and Siri because they  will also offer a curated, well-researched and short selection based on your needs, wants and desires.

“That makes branding incredibly important, because if you are just asking your device to reorder the thing you’ve got last time, then there’s almost no branding exercise taking place there,” Tom Webster, vice president of strategy at Edison Research, told Day 6.

 Did you know?

The first major hurdle to overcome is one already at play in your local supermarket — the private label brand.

Amazon-Alexa

Amazon Basics is currently the world’s fastest growing private label, according to Niraj Dawar, a marketing professor at Western University’s Ivey Business School in London, Ont.

”When you bring someone a skill that they trust and that helps them … it actually changes how people feel about the people behind that brand.”-Tom Webster, marketing expert

It’s not incomprehensible that Alexa might one day order her own company’s product by default, rather than the Tide you’ve used for years. That’s the challenge that traditional brands need to overcome.

”A large part of marketers’ budgets are already spent convincing buyers to make a trip to their local shop for a specific product” said Dawar.

Deeper

About two-thirds of consumers use smart speakers according to research by Adobe Analytics. About 30 % of Consumers  order products online.

Webster says that these relatively simple tasks are “kind of a Trojan horse for everything else that they can do.”

As the technology is becoming a big topic in our lives, people will rely on them for more complex tasks.

“It’s very likely that algorithms that are embedded in these AI speakers will be able to sift through the noise … and pick the right one based on your calling patterns,” said Dawar.

Opinion

This Speaker does reduce the use on screen time so basically you see visual real estate more fewer which is good for your eyes. So I think that’s a good start to advance Alexa. The thing I hate about Alexa is when you ask her something it says Sorry… and doesn’t reply so you have to say the thing again. But again  that happens to some of us so it’s not a major problem. But overall by now Amazons Alexa is fine.

Brightest comet of the year can be seen as it fly’s past Earth. Be Ready!

Brightest comet of the year

Comet 46P/Wirtanen, first found in 1948, will have its closest involvement with Earth on Dec.16. Regardless, it’s already visible in the sky.Image result for comet 46p wirtanen

        Wirtanen

  • Wirtanen will probably light up as it makes its nearest way to approach with the sun on Dec. 12.
  • Wirtanen — a little comet at simply 1.2 kilometers in distance across — it’s a fluffy, somewhat blue question in the southern sky.

        Comets

  • Comets, frequently alluded to as “dirty snowballs,” are leftover collections of dust, gas and ice from the arrangement of our nearby planetary group. Most are from regions — the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud.
  • A comet’s brightness depends upon its size and how much ice and gas it contains.

        Where to look

  •   The brightest of divine items is on a scale that goes from the extremely most brightest — the sun — to the dimmest. What’s more, it doesn’t go toward the path you’d think: the lower the number (negative qualities) the more splendid the question.

Mechanica

Have you ever heard about the Book Mechanica?Mechanica

Well If you didn’t hear about the book don’t worry because in this Blog I will be writing a summary of the Book. So …

The Author

The author of this book is Betsy Cornwell and she grew up in the wilds of rural New Hampshire and  was born on  July 7, 1988. She graduated from Smith College in the year  2010. Then she received her MFA in creative writing from the University of Notre Dame in the year  2012. After she was graduated she settled in ireland to live there. She then taught fiction writing and film & television studies at Notre Dame. She know teaches creative and critical writing at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth summer program, as well as working as a private tutor. She enjoys Traveling for sure.

 Summary of the Book

So it starts off that Mecanica  is an inventor in the positive side. So the story begins when Mecanica reveals the past so its starts by  a ( the royal ) Queen of the town who dies from a illness and soon that illness goes to Mecanicas Mother. Both her parents used to discuss about various stuff like how to raise their child and so basically  they had lots of fights. Her mother soon died when Mecanica was 9. Then her Father married another women that will me evil to Mecanica in this Book. And soon when Mecanicas father dies, the Stepsisters and their Mother  turn Mecanica into a servant. Her mother was an unique inventor, teaching her daughter all she could before receiving the strange illness. With both her mother and father now dead, Mecanica is left behind to a life of servitude. But on her 16th birthday she discovers her mothers hidden workshop, and meets a tiny metal horse ( Jules) who shows her that she may be able to have a different life ; a life as an inventor and creator of her own choices. But soon when the her stepsister  discover her inventions, they decide to destroy them,  and so they also smash the tiny metal horse ( Jules) to pieces. As a inventor she soon finds her prince with I won’t mention who it is but  she realizes she doesn’t want a fairy tale ending.

“Combines a feminist Cinderella story with a beautiful steampunk world . . .This is a tale about Girl being her own fairy godmother, and the heights to which she can ascend because of it.” —Hypable

 Main Characters:

  • Mecanica,Caroline and Fin.
  1. Mecanica is the main Character in this book.
  2. Caro(Caroline) is a Friend of Finn and Mechanica and this particular Character works in the Castle and lives there as a Prince and soon helps Mecanica in her inventions .
  3. Fin is a Prince as well and he meets Caro and both became very near by friends. Then he meets Mecanica and falls in faith with her.

How they all met

So how they all met was that Mecanice went to the market to try to sell her things and so she met  Caro (short for Caroline) and Fin. Then they all related to each others faces and from one conversation they all soon became Friends . The author wa trying to  build up the readers expectations in one path,so the reader has a excitement yet again. Mechanica has a amount of concern for Caro but the way she has trust for Fin is not describable . In the end, the author explores the nature of love, friendship for all these 3 characters.

Other then that, I  recommend this Book to anyone who loves fantasy’s, Fairy Tales  and anyone with a rebel heart.

This book though ends happily there is  no guarantee it will last forever.

This will require significant investment and persistence and it will take more time for the sugar to break down each time. Be beyond any doubt you don’t surrender too early. When no more sugar will disintegrate, expel it from warmth and enable it to cool for somewhere around 20 minutes.

What allows doctors to predict how long patients have left to live !

Scientists identified the key signs that allow doctors to predict how long patients have left to live.

November 27, 2018

So hopefully everyone knows that Death is something we all will have to suffer. It’s something we should all be informed of.  A new UCL-led study has identified the key signs and symptoms that allow doctors to recognize when a patient is close to death.Image result for death Credit

Imagining the season of death is hard, at any rate fundamentally. It empowers patients and their touching ones to design in the center of the present moment, at any rate, a past report has seen that the most influential in measure interfaced from a poor range underestimate of 86 days to an overestimate of 93 days. Scientists wanted to find out how expert palliative care doctors predict the imminent death so they invited some professionals to participate in a study thought experts anticipate the quick pushing toward passing so they respected a few specialists to esteem an examination. They were given 20 real-life cases and were asked for to pick whether the patient was close passing or not. Scientists used this examination to confine the best 20% of individuals who were most right in these needs.

The professional ones thought pros that were the best in their needs by then were given an additional 50 occasions of hypothetical patients. They have foreseen that would study the probability of death inside the running with 72 hours. Using these information specialists saw key signs and factors that allow these genius predictions of the season of death. Thinks showed that the most influencing section was the Palliative Performance Score (interfacing from totally free 100 % to requiring full help and noticeable quality <10%). The second most basic factor was the exceptional breathing model called Cheyne Stoke extricating up.

Specialists say that these results could be critical in truly making these figures more right. Dr. Adrian Tookman, co-maker of the paper, conveyed: “This paper sustains that quality and data here is required; we need to perceive how we can help people with dealing with the uncertainties that can occur at this time”. Specialists believe that this examination will help in improving educational planning materials to show pros, medical students and other social protection experts how to model their own judgment structures about the forefront passing.

The request ‘to what degree has my esteemed one got?’ is hard to offer and to hear, regardless everyone expects a sensible and a correct answer. It is difficult to get ready for the outline of death, yet it is less requesting if it is typical. Studies like this could make predictions a bit more accurate.

My Comment:

I think that it would be great because the fact that the doctors will predict our death at a rate of time according to machines or so would make life less demanding on the grounds that somebody should need to state something imperative before their passing.

This video was posted  this year and it kind of relates to the topic:✔✔✔

Floor-cleaning robots just the start, says Vancouver company

CBC News-October 28,2018/at 1:46 pm

My Topic

Hello, Today I will be discussing about a new self-driving robot  that just came up last Week.

Development

So Technology is one thing that has been increasing every single year and there are some pros and cons for that. So now getting more into the  topic : Three Graduates from the University of British Colombia  who are Kung (25), Matthew Anderson and Jessica Yip discovered A&K Robotics in the year 2015 and now these graduates are setting a goal to have a robotic industry in Vancouver. Why ? why because they think robots should be hired and should be in counter of our everyday life routine. Now they  developed a technology that transforms  floor cleaning machines into self-driving robots which polish the floors and  suck up grime in two buildings  on UBC’s campus. Now they  employ more than 20 people and  they’ve  sold the technology to UBC, the Vancouver International Airport and customers in the U.S. and Europe.

Credit

How much does the Robot Cost currently ?

This robot costs about $10,000 currently.

Are these Machines dangerous ?

No not really they  know their process and the avoid People and Objects.

Take their side

UBC Building Operations joined with the company to gain with the technology with its custodian staff. Two of the robotic floor cleaners are already in use at UBC’s Henry Angus and Life Sciences buildings, and five are to be set in place until November.

-Watch this :A&K Robotics floor cleaner now roaming UBC

The Problem

The problem or more pacifically the Question is that does it make jobs redundant? :As  self-driving robots and other types of  technologies continue to advance, there is a risk that we may lose jobs. Because a 2016 study  from the Brookfield Institute  at Toronto’s Ryerson University estimated  that 42 % of the Canadian works are  at a  risk of being replaced by new technology and computers.

But yet again the A&K Robotics say they want the robots to take the task and by the way some robots weight up to 386 kg, according to UBC.

My Comment

I think this Self-driving robot  and other Technologies won’t help instead they would more have a bad affect on jobs.

Whats Next ?

So now to know further more about this Topic we will need to wait for the CBC News reporter to say weather this will continue or not and for more information.

Thank you for reading my Today’s article.🌹

Copy right ,Images and Creative commons !

Hello there ,In todays blog I will be talking about Copy right ,Images and Creative commons. I will be explaining each of them by there own paste.

Copy Right…

What’s exactly the meaning of Copyright ?

Copy Right:the exclusive legal right, given to an originator or an assignee to print, publish, perform, film, or record literary, artistic, or musical material, and to authorize others to do the same so it is totally fine as a right.
The exclusive rights are not absolute but limited by limitations and exceptions to copyright law, including fair usage. Laws that really apply the use of copyright material in many schools don’t apply for using the material on the Internet. Using copyright material in posts leaves you a open chance to copyright infringement. That’s why it is important to learn which things you can use and how to attribute things you can use.

Videos and Images still depend on it ……

Never think that you could just take images and videos of the internet for free because you must give the credit to the owner so its not plagiarism. It legal to copyright but there are some agreements for that as well.

To avoid copyright issues you could use the following three options :

Option 1: Use Creative Commons.
Option 2: Use public domain.
Option 3: Use your own online tools.
You should avoid Copyright on anything you’d copy like for examples books, poems, plays, songs, films, artwork ,videos, images, work, paragraphs, etc.

Creative commons …

What exactly are creative commons ?
Creative commons :A Creative Commons (CC) license is one of several public copyright licenses that enable the free distribution of an otherwise copyrighted work. A (CC) license is used when an author wants to give people the right to share, use, and build upon a work that they have created .It is more related to Copyright.
They are an organization which provides free content license known as a (CC) license that people can apply to their own work.

When you license your own work with (CC), you are giving people the permission to use it without having to ask permission from anyone, provided they use it in the manner stated in your (CC) license.

The reason people use creative commons licenses is to make it easier for anyone to share and adapt creative work without the concern of copyright infringement. There are a bunch of different types of (CC)s licenses people use depending on what restriction(s) they want to apply to their work. Down below is a video that will tell you about (CC)copyright.

Here are two options for finding Creative Commons images:
Compfight plugin – is a quick tool on all Edublogs and CampusPress blogs to find and add creative commons images with attribution.
Compfight website – if you don’t have access to the Compfight plugin then you can search for creative commons images on their website and upload the images to your post.

I would like to see your feedback ! 🙂
