Famous Person Interview

Norman Bethune saves the lives of others!

So I was given a task to record an audio about a famous person, who is Norman Bethune. By the way, if you don’t know who Norman Bethune was: he was a teacher, army officer, author, artist, doctor, surgeon, and inventor. But he was most of all known as a Canadian physician, medical innovator, and noted communist. He traveled a lot and his work was worth good. The main thing he invented was a medical solution for people who have a disease called tuberculosis back then. His invention helped lots of people with that disease and by the way, he also suffered by the disease but he found out a way to escape it.

This audio will be about Norman Bethune and how he would respond to types of questions.

Floor-cleaning robots just the start, says Vancouver company

CBC News-October 28,2018/at 1:46 pm

My Topic

Hello, Today I will be discussing about a new self-driving robot  that just came up last Week.

Development

So Technology is one thing that has been increasing every single year and there are some pros and cons for that. So now getting more into the  topic : Three Graduates from the University of British Colombia  who are Kung (25), Matthew Anderson and Jessica Yip discovered A&K Robotics in the year 2015 and now these graduates are setting a goal to have a robotic industry in Vancouver. Why ? why because they think robots should be hired and should be in counter of our everyday life routine. Now they  developed a technology that transforms  floor cleaning machines into self-driving robots which polish the floors and  suck up grime in two buildings  on UBC’s campus. Now they  employ more than 20 people and  they’ve  sold the technology to UBC, the Vancouver International Airport and customers in the U.S. and Europe.

Credit

How much does the Robot Cost currently ?

This robot costs about $10,000 currently.

Are these Machines dangerous ?

No not really they  know their process and the avoid People and Objects.

Take their side

UBC Building Operations joined with the company to gain with the technology with its custodian staff. Two of the robotic floor cleaners are already in use at UBC’s Henry Angus and Life Sciences buildings, and five are to be set in place until November.

-Watch this :A&K Robotics floor cleaner now roaming UBC

The Problem

The problem or more pacifically the Question is that does it make jobs redundant? :As  self-driving robots and other types of  technologies continue to advance, there is a risk that we may lose jobs. Because a 2016 study  from the Brookfield Institute  at Toronto’s Ryerson University estimated  that 42 % of the Canadian works are  at a  risk of being replaced by new technology and computers.

But yet again the A&K Robotics say they want the robots to take the task and by the way some robots weight up to 386 kg, according to UBC.

My Comment

I think this Self-driving robot  and other Technologies won’t help instead they would more have a bad affect on jobs.

Whats Next ?

So now to know further more about this Topic we will need to wait for the CBC News reporter to say weather this will continue or not and for more information.

Thank you for reading my Today’s article.🌹

My path to a Career

Introduction

Hello, its’s Eman and in today’s blog I will be discussing about 2 main occupations that I’m interested in.

Occupations

The two main Occupations I’m interested in are :

  1. Family Physician
  2. Sports Medicine Doctor
Before I begin I will leave a Link down below from where I learned about my Occupations and about my self.👇

Family Physician

My First session of goal was to be a Family Physician and it still is. My dream is to become a Family Physician and it’s my first occupation. I’m interested in this occupation because love to treat humans and examine their health. What is a Family physician?

What’s a Family Physician?

A Family Physician is a type of Doctor. What do they do? A Family Physician is a type of Doctor that treats diseases, injuries, and physiological disorders of patients. They supply contact and manage a  patients’ health, like examining patients, X-rays, ordering laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures, and they evaluate patients’ physical and mental health. Family physicians may also give support to patients issues, and advise patients and their families on health care. A Family Physician is an educated doctor that must apply to go to a University and take Medicine. The salary of a Family Physician is from low: $24,033 to high: $335,266. The three post-secondary programs nearby right now that may be helpful are Medicine -Saskatchewan university, Pre-Chiropractic-Medicine -Regina, and Pre-Chiropractic-Medicine Champion College.Image result for family physician

I think the three main Tasks a Family Physician has to do daily:

  1. Perform an action towards a patients health.
  2. Be able to manage common complaints
  3.  Know the patient’s conditions.
Did my results match with this Occupation?

My Results definitely matched this Career because my Interest, Knowledge and Motivation Survey all came up to be a Good Match. They all matched because it was my Passion to become one and it still is. I had a 92% match throughout the Compatibility Survey. The Tasks I’ve mentioned before are similar to the Tasks of the results on the Survey. I wasn’t really Surprised by the Tasks because I knew that a Family Physician is to be educated and they have to follow the daily basis. But overall I still want to set a goal to be a Family Physician and I would definitely enjoy this Career because it’s my passion and I would love to solve out new puzzles like issues.

Sports Medicine Doctor

My 2nd career choice is to be a Sports Medicine Doctor. I didn’t really know what a Sports Medicine Doctor is so I went and clicked on the Link for the Sports Medicine Doctor and I discovered that I might Like this job so I choose it.

What’s a Sports Medicine Doctor?

A Sports Medicine Doctor is a Type of Doctor that treats Patients from more likely sports injuries. They Treat things like disorders of the musculoskeletal system. They file the results of diagnostic imaging procedures and laboratory tests and advise patients against returning to a game with may lead to further injury. I think the three main Tasks a Sports Medicine Doctor has to do daily:

  1. Perform an action towards a patients injuries.
  2. Be able to manage common complaints.
  3.  Know the patient’s conditions.
Did my results match with this Occupation?

My Result did match with this Career because my Interest and Knowledge Survey came up to be a Good Match. Both matched because my top subject was Physical Education and my interest type was the Confident(SC). I had an 89% match throughout the Compatibility Survey. The Tasks I’ve mentioned before are similar to the Tasks of the results on the Survey. I wasn’t really Surprised by the Tasks because I knew that a Sports Medicine Doctor is to be educated and they have to follow these daily basics. But overall I like this career to be my plan B and I would definitely enjoy this Career because I would love to solve out new puzzles like issues.

Thank you for reading my Today’s blog.😊

My Guidance leads me ahead a step

Introduction

Hello in today’s Blog I will be talking about what I learned about myself  from the surveys on myblueprint.ca , if I  agree with my  result  and how the results made me feel.

My Results

When I was starting to do my first survey I was pretty nervous about what the question are going to be and what not. But when I finished  doing the  first survey with was the interests survey I was overall happy with my results and the questions weren’t bad.

Thoughts about myself

I’ve learned lots of things after doing all 5 surveys. And some of the results surprised me.

 Interest Survey

From the Interest survey I learned that my interest types is the Confidant (SC)with means you  enjoy supporting others, your well organized and good at offering   a advice and they also avoid taking risks. I also learned that the two primary interest trails of mine are Social 88% and Conventional 81%. I do agree with the Results but I was surprised in the beginning of the Results. This result made me feel like I am Confident for a moment but then I wasn’t sure about that.Related image

Learning Style Survey

From the Learning Style Survey I learned that I am a Kinesthetic Learner and I learn stuff by touching and doing. I got a 36% for Kinesthetic, 33% for Visual,
and a 33% for Auditory. I kind of do agree with my result in a range of 96% because I don’t really agree by touching stuff I would learn  stuff always, so that’s why its a 96% instead of  a 100%.This result made me feel ”OK” because it wasn’t that bad.Image result for kinesthetic learner

Personality Survey

From the Personality Survey I learned that my personality type is ISTJ (The Inspector)  who are people who prefer to work independently. ISTJ stand for (means for) I =Introverted, S =Sensing, T =Thinking, and J =Judging. I agree with my result 91% because I wasn’t really sure about the result from the T =Thinking. The Results made me feel like a descriptive mindset. Image result for inspector

Knowledge Survey

From the Knowledge Survey I learned that my top Subject area  is Physical Education and then my 2nd and 3rd subjects areas are Mathematics and Science. And for all of these Subjects my result were 100 %. Then for Social Science 89%, Languages Arts 89%, and for Creative Arts 78%.My Career can be related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. I agree with my results 98% because I love Science and Math though I am not that sure about Physical Education. I feel good about my results.Image result for science math engineer

Motivation Survey

For the Motivation Survey I learned that my  Top motivation factor is Independence. That means when I am given  a specific task and a deadline I would set my  own schedule, pace and direction. And my Second Top motivation factor is Relationship. I do agree 98% with my results. I feel happy from what I got out of my Results.Image result for independence technology
